January 23, 2004 (NASHVILLE, TN) – Southern comedian and
Capitol Records recording artist Tim Wilson is scheduled to appear
this Saturday, January 24th on CMT’s flagship series CMT
Most Wanted Live. Wilson’s performance marks the first time
that a comedian has been a guest on the program, hosted by Cledus
T. Judd and Katie Cook.
Wilson’s comedy has been featured regularly on syndicated
morning radio shows including Bob and Tom, John Boy and Billy,
Steve and DC, and Rick and Bubba for over a decade. Wilson is
famous not only for his relentless stand-up comedy tour schedule,
but also for his hilarious topical songs including “First
Baptist Bar and Grill,” “The Jeff Gordon Song,”
“Chucky Cheese Hell,” and “Booty Man.”
Wilson has released six comedy albums on Capitol, including Hillbilly
Homeboy, I Should’ve Married My Father-In-Law, and most
recently Super Bad Sounds of the ‘70s. In addition to his
comedic endeavors, Wilson recently produced a serious music project
for Capitol entitled All Night All Stars, which featured performances
by such southern legends as Gregg Allman, Levon Helm, Jimmy Hall,
Bobby Whitlock, and T. Graham Brown.
The episode of CMT Most Wanted Live featuring Wilson and fellow
Capitol artist Dierks Bentley airs on Saturday, January 24th at
6:30 p.m. ET/PT on CMT.
