Alvarado Road Show to perform on 50th Anniversary Telethon of Stars
November 9th, 2006 (PADUCAH, KY) – Universal Records South recording artist Alvarado Road Show is scheduled to perform on the 50th Anniversary Lions Club/News Channel 6 Telethon of the Stars this weekend. The 15-hour-long event will air on Paducah, Kentucky television station WPSD News Channel 6 to benefit charities including Easter Seals, T.L.C and Community Development Services. All proceeds from the telethon will remain in the WPSD viewing area. The Telethon of Stars is the longest running, locally produced telethon in the USA. In 2005 it raised over $581,900 and raised almost $20 million in the previous 49 shows. The Telethon of Stars will have 15 hours of continuous live music. The show will also include interviews with clients and officials of the benefiting charities and local Lions Club. Past performers on the telethon have included Steve Wariner, Lorrie Morgan, Ricky Skaggs, Pam Tillis and many more.
