AUGUST 10, 2006 (NASHVILLE) – Lonestar member Dean Sams has been confirmed as a panelist at Country Star University, a two-day intensive seminar for aspiring country artists.  Other artists recently confirmed to appear at the event include country stars Bryan White and Michael Peterson.  The events take place on October 9th and 10th, 2006 in Nashville.  Daytime classroom events will be held at Warner Bros. Records and evening events will take place at Douglas Corner Café.

Sams will appear on the Management panel at Country Star U, where he will speak and answer questions from attendees about the relationship between country artists and their managers.  Bryan White, best known for his hits including “Someone Else’s Star,” “I’m Not Supposed to Love You Anymore,” and his duet with Shania Twain on “From This Moment On,” will appear on Country Star U’s Marketing and Publicity panel.  Michael Peterson, who sprang onto the music scene with his hits “Drink, Swear, Steal, and Lie” and “From Here to Eternity,” has also enjoyed success as a songwriter by penning the Travis Tritt hit “No More Looking Over My Shoulder.”  Peterson has been confirmed as a performer at Country Star U Hitmakers.

Sams, White, and Peterson join other panelists including country star Steve Wariner, Troy Tomlinson, President/CEO of Sony/ATV Tree, GAC Personality Storme Warren, Bobby Roberts Company Booking Agent Brian Jones, BMI’s Bradley Collins, music publisher and song plugger Cole Wright, entertainment journalist Jimmy Carter, and many others soon-to-be-announced.

Country Star University, now in its second year, is an event designed to educate aspiring country artists about what it really takes to make it as a successful country artist.  Previous attendees have come from as far as Sweden to attend the event, and the inaugural seminar was an overwhelming success.

Tickets for Country Star U 2006 are $499 and are on sale now at www.CountryStarU.com or by calling (615) 340-0882.  Space is limited and registration is filling up fast for the event.
