STEVE WARINER CONFIRMED TO APPEAR AT
COUNTRY STAR UNIVERSITY SEMINAR
AUGUST 3, 2006 (NASHVILLE) – Hit country artist, songwriter, and producer Steve Wariner has been confirmed as a panelist at Country Star University, a two-day intensive seminar for aspiring country artists. The events take place on October 9th and 10th, 2006 in Nashville. Daytime classroom events will be held at Warner Bros. Records and evening events will take place at Douglas Corner Café.
Wariner will appear on the Making the Record panel at Country Star U, where he will speak and answer questions from attendees about the process of making hit records. He joins other panelists including Troy Tomlinson, President/CEO of Sony/ATV Tree, GAC Personality Storme Warren, Capitol Nashville Sr. VP Marketing Fletcher Foster, RCA VP Marketing & Artist Development Jon Elliot, Universal Music Group VP of Marketing Tom Lord, Entertainment Journalist Jimmy Carter, and many others soon-to-be-announced.
As an artist, Wariner has racked up over 30 top-ten hits, 14 of which made it all the way to #1. As a songwriter, Wariner’s songs have been recorded by a who’s who of artists including Diamond Rio, Alabama, Garth Brooks, Clint Black, and many more! His virtuosic guitar playing keeps him in high demand as a guest picker on other artists’ records, and he has recently completed recording as producer of new Universal South band Alvarado Road Show.
Country Star University, now in its second year, is an event designed to educate aspiring country artists about what it really takes to make it as a successful country artist. Previous attendees have come from as far as Sweden to attend the event, and the inaugural seminar was an overwhelming success.
Tickets for Country Star U 2006 are $499 and are on sale now at www.CountryStarU.com. Space is limited and registration is filling up fast for the event.
