Jeff Lysyczyn
President
Jeff Lysyczyn, President and founder of Tenacious Entertainment,
has been active in the music industry for fifteen years. His
unique and diversified background makes him an indispensable asset
to his clients, a roster that has included recording artists Alvarado
Road Show, Tim Wilson, and Rodney Carrington, celebrity voice coach
Renee Grant-Williams, Capitol Records Nashville, Universal South
Records, and Special Olympics Tennessee.
“Tenacious Entertainment is a hybrid company, drawing
from the elements of artist development, publicity, artist management,
and marketing. By hand-picking my clients, and developing
strong plans based on the needs and career goals of each one
individually, I am able to break free of the traditional boundaries
that define the roles that are usually associated with a publicist,
artist manager, or marketing consultant,” says Lysyczyn. “My
goal is to fill the void in my clients’ teams, create strategies
that can be executed quickly and uniquely, and facilitate both
short-term and long term career growth. Some people would
call it ‘thinking outside the box;’ I call it throwing
the box out the window.”
In 2005, Lysyczyn also co-founded an innovative seminar called Country
Star University. The two-day learning event was incredibly
successful in its first two years, and continues to grow as a
resource for aspiring country stars to learn what it really takes
to build success as an entertainer from the industry’s
leading artists, songwriters, and executives.
Prior to founding Tenacious Entertainment, Lysyczyn spent four
years as an artist manager and publicist at Trifecta Entertainment,
where he worked with a vast array of clients including Doug Stone,
Michael English, Take 6, Kevin Max (of DC Talk), Lee Greenwood,
The Lynns, and NFL football players Kevin Carter, John Thornton,
and Jason Fisk.
Before his tenure at Trifecta that began in 1998 Lysyczyn had
been an A&R representative for a major label, produced #1 records,
worked as a pop radio promoter, and was a staff songwriter for
a major publishing company.
As an A&R representative for Warner/Reprise Nashville Records,
Lysyczyn was instrumental in the direction and repertoire selection
for country artists including Dwight Yoakam, Travis Tritt, Michael
Peterson, Faith Hill, and Paul Brandt. During his tenure
at Warner/Reprise, he was responsible for signing and producing
the debut CD for the Dove award nominated Christian rock act Disciple. As
a songwriter, his songs have been recorded by The Wilkinsons, Doug
Stone, and Michael English. Lysyczyn began his career with
Warner/Reprise as a pop radio promoter, working records by acts
such as Van Halen, Madonna, Rod Stewart, Paul Simon, Peter Cetera,
James Ingram, Candlebox, and Prince.
Hailing from upstate New York, Lysyczyn attended Middle Tennessee
State University, majoring in Record Industry Management. He also
has a degree from The Finger Lakes College in Canandaigua, NY,
with a major in Audio Recording and Music Theory.
Lysyczyn is an active member of the Country Music Association
(CMA), Academy of Country Music (ACM), and American Society of
Composers and Authors (ASCAP). He currently holds a position
on the Board of Directors for the Miller Harris Foundation, a 501c3
charity that raises funds for asthma awareness and music education
programs. More information about Tenacious Entertainment
